The Slippery Rock University Art Department's Martha Gault Art Gallery is presenting the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh New Members Exhibition, now through Nov. 3, after hosting an opening reception, Aug. 30. The exhibition includes a wide variety of media including paintings, drawings, fiber arts, printmaking, photography and sculpture, from a diverse pool of artists from the greater Pittsburgh region. Founded in 1910, the AAP is the oldest, continuously exhibiting artist membership organization in the country, and provides opportunities for more than 600 of its members to exhibit their artwork, including exhibitions at the Carnegie Museum of Art. The Gault Art Gallery is located in SRU's Maltby Center at 108 Maltby Avenue. Hours are Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., during the semester, except for University holidays.
