Day three of the Slippery Rock University women's soccer team's trip to Costa Rica Aug. 7 included a morning of community service. The team interacted and played with children at Los Guido, a center operated by the Roblealto Child Care Association in San Jose, which offers daycare services and shelter for more than 200 children from at-risk situations or living in extreme poverty. After traveling to a rainforest region of Costa Rica during the afternoon, the team checked into a hotel, practiced for an hour at La Guaria Field and ended the day by soaking and swimming in mineral hot springs in San Carlos.
