Forty-six members of Slippery Rock University's Jazz Ensemble and Chamber Singers are touring Europe, July 6-17. Over the course of two weeks, they will perform at various venues in Italy and France. The Jazz Ensemble will perform at the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia, Italy, July 10. Then, they will be joined by the Chamber Singers for a performance hosted by the U.S. Consulate at the Conservatorio Niccolò Paganini in Genoa, Italy, July 13. The Jazz Ensemble will also perform at the Music Kiosque at Place National Square in Nice, France, July 15. The Chamber Singers will perform during masses at the Sant'Andrea della Valle Church in Rome, Italy, July 9, and the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, Italy, July 11, as well as a concert at the Eglise Jean-Baptiste Le Voeu, July 16, in Nice, France. During the trip, the SRU students will also tour St. Peter's Basilica and visit other attractions in Rome.
