SRU earns pair of “Colleges of Distinction” honors

For the sixth consecutive year, Slippery Rock University has been named a national and Pennsylvania “College of Distinction” by collegesofdistinction.com.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — With the NBA Finals having concluded less than 24 hours ago, it's only appropriate for Slippery Rock University to admire its own "slam dunk" today as the University has been named a 2019-20 national "College of Distinction" and a Pennsylvania "College of Distinction" by collegesfdistinction.com for the sixth straight year.

Colleges of Distinction's evaluates institutions based on their commitment to "Four Distinctions:" engaged students, great teaching, vibrant community and successful outcomes. The selection process consists of a review of an institution's freshman experience and retention efforts as well as its general education program, alumni success, strategic plan, student satisfaction and more.
