SRU hosting Alumni Weekend June 23-25 where the 2023 Rock Solid 10 Under 10 will be honored

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Alumni Weekend is a great time for Slippery Rock University graduates to return to campus to reconnect and celebrate with fellow members of the SRU community. The SRU Alumni Engagement Office and the SRU Alumni Association are hosting Alumni Weekend, June 23-25, highlighted by the annual Rock Solid 10 Under 10 award ceremony. Alumni Weekend will feature classes, campus tours, food-tasting events, reunion celebrations and other exclusive programs designed for SRU alumni.
The Rock Solid 10 Under 10 awards honor SRU alumni who graduated no more than 10 years ago and who have accomplished significant professional and/or personal milestones.
The 2023 honorees are:
- Eric Berdis, a 2013 graduate with a degree in art, who is an artist and performer based in Erie.
- Zach Cunningham, a 2013 graduate with a degree in sport management, who is director of ticket sales for the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning.
- Aleta Heard, a 2015 graduate with a degree in health care administration and management, who is the vice president for asset servicing at BNY Mellon, founder of Masters of Maternity, and vice president of the Pennsylvania Doula Commission.
- Jamaur Law, a 2013 graduate with a degree in business administration, who is the founder and executive director of the board of the Jamaur Law Foundation.
- Bobby Maggio, a 2015 graduate with a degree in political science, who is a senior advisor to U.S. Sen. John Fetterman.
- Mallory Manz, a 2018 graduate with a degree in communication, who is a university recruiter for First National Bank.
- Mikayla Moretti, a 2017 graduate with a degree in communication, who is director of special events for the Butler County Community College Education Foundation.
- Kaitlin Mueller, a 2013 graduate with a degree in recreational therapy, who is an assistant professor of recreational therapy at Catawba College.
- Zachary Webb, a 2013 and 2015 graduate with a bachelor's and master's degree criminal justice, who is a narcotics agent in the Gun Violence Section at the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General.
- Calahan Young, a 2017 graduate with a degree in recreational therapy, who is the captain of the U.S. Paralympic men's goalball team and a blind sports advocate.
Complete biographies on each of the Rock Solid 10 Under 10 award recipients are available on the SRU Alumni Association website. They will be recognized at an awards brunch at 9:30 a.m., June 24, in the Smith Student Center Ballroom.
