SRU named one of Pennsylvania’s “best online colleges”

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University has been recognized as a one of the Top 25 best online colleges in Pennsylvania by SR Education Group, a leading education research publisher founded in 2004.

To be considered for the Best Online Colleges, schools had to meet the following requirements:

-Overall list: Offer at least 10 fully online degrees at the bachelor's level and at least 10 fully online degrees at the master's level with programs that cover at least 10 subject areas.
-Associate list: Offer at least three fully online degrees at the associate level.
-Bachelor's list: Offer at least 10 fully online degrees at the bachelor's level.
-Master's list: Offer at least 10 fully online degrees at the master's level.
-Doctoral list: Offer at least three fully online degrees at the doctoral level.

SRU ranked No. 4 on the list. The Rock was joined by three other institutions from Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education including Clarion (No. 5), California (No. 13) and Mansfield (No. 21).

"We manually researched every regionally accredited online college in the state, taking into account both tuition and academic strength in order to determine the best value schools for students," said Kelsey D'Ewart of SR Education Group. "Due to an outstanding commitment to these factors, it's easy to see why SRU ranked so high on our list."
