In anticipation of Slippery Rock University's commencement, two populations of soon-to-be SRU graduates received their stoles and celebrated their accomplishments at separate events this week. On May 3, the Office of Global Engagement recognized graduating international students and American students who have studied abroad in credit-bearing, long-term programs. On May 4, the Office for Inclusive Excellence recognized the accomplishments of graduating seniors who self-identified as multicultural, including those from the Black, Latino, multiracial and LGBTQIA communities. At each event, seniors received University-approved stoles that they will wear at the spring commencement ceremony, May 5-6, at SRU's Morrow Field House.
