In recognition of April being National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, the Victim Outreach Intervention Center in Butler County partnered with Slippery Rock University's Office of Health Promotion and its HOPE Peer Educators to address sexual violence prevention. SRU students decorated T-shirts with encouraging messages, uplifting quotes, or stories of their own to show solidarity and comfort for survivors of sexual violence. The shirts were displayed in the Smith Student Center during Common Hour, April 12, for an interactive exhibit that VOICe organizers called the Clothesline Project.
