Registration for SRU’s Summer Session classes begins April 4
March 28, 2022
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Spring has just sprung but college students should start to consider the options to bloom this summer, as in registering for classes to make further progress in toward their degrees. Slippery Rock University offers more than 500 summer classes that are being offered May 11 to July 26.
"Summer classes are a popular option because they offer our students many benefits," said Amanda Yale, chief enrollment management officer. "Students choose to enroll in the Summer Sessions to boost their grade-point average, lighten their fall course load or to take a summer internship. It's a great opportunity to get ahead or stay ahead on students' path to graduation."

Approximately three quarters of all Summer Session classes are offered online, providing a convenient option for students who do not live on or near campus during the summer months.
Current SRU students may register for summer classes beginning April 4, the same day they can start registering for fall 2022 classes, while non-SRU students may register beginning April 18.
SRU offers courses during five sessions: Pre-Session (6 credits), May 11-26; Full Summer (12 credits), May 11 to July 26; Session I (7 credits), May 31 to June 27; Summer Term (12 credits), May 31 to July 26; and Session II (7 credits), June 28 to July 26.
SRU students received an email March 18 with instructions on how to register using the MySRU portal on the University website. They have until April 15 to communicate with their adviser to secure their spot for priority placement in desired classes. Non-SRU students must enroll at the University before registering. They can do so by visiting www.sru.edu/apply or by contacting the Office of Admissions at 724.738.2015.
More information about registering is available online at www.sru.edu/summer or contacting the SRU Office of Academic Records at 724.738.2010.
