SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Returning for another session of fun-filled learning for children at Slippery Rock University is "Tuneful Tales," 10 a.m., April 6, in the Swope Music Hall. The event, hosted by SRU's Early Childhood and Elementary Music Community Engagement Initiative, is for families, caregivers and elementary-school-aged children to attend a morning full of activities, including story time, crafts and an instrument petting zoo. Free tickets for the event can be obtained online at sru.edu/tickets.
"I love developing engaging and educational music experiences for children and families with the help of our wonderful Slippery Rock University music students," said Cassandra Eisenreich, associate professor of music. "It is important to foster creativity in a play-based environment where kids can explore, discover, create and, most importantly, be themselves, all while enjoying the endless benefits of music."
"Tuneful Tales" is one of many free offerings by the SRU Early Childhood and Elementary Music Community Engagement Initiative, with the goal of hosting fun, educational music programs for the youth of the community.
