AVI Fresh, Slippery Rock University's contracted food provider, hosted its first "Pop-Up Kitchen" event Feb. 22, at Boozel Dining Hall. AVI chef Ryan Shontz prepared a fried cauliflower dish in front of the grill station from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Pop-Up Kitchens, which will take place twice a month, showcase AVI's monthly featured fruit or vegetable from its Produce 365 promotion, giving students and guests a new, intriguing way to enjoy a basic food group.
