SRU basketball Whiteout Night planned for Feb. 13

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - A "whiteout" is back in at Slippery Rock University. Sure, there could be a blanket of snow on the ground this time of year, but when The Rock men's and women's basketball teams play Mercyhurst, Feb. 13, fans are asked to fill the bleachers at Morrow Field House with white on their backs for Whiteout Night.

Whiteout Night is annual event where spectators are encouraged to wear white to show their support for the SRU basketball teams. The women's game starts at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.

Special game day T-shirts are on sale at the Student Government Bookstore. Cost is $5 for sizes small to extra-large and $7 for sizes double-XL and up. The SGA Bookstore, located on the lower level of the Smith Student Center, is open weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
