SRU’s online master’s in history ranked among country’s best

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Slippery Rock University's online master's degree in history has been ranked among the top 25 programs in the country by College Consensus.

College Consensus, a national college ranking and student review aggregator, used a scoring system based on three categories: reputation, cost and student success rate.

SRU's Master of Arts in history is a 30-credit program focused on U.S., European and world history. The program enables working professionals to gain further experience to propel their careers, especially educators who are seeking further professional development.

Students focus on becoming proficient in the application of historical thinking, preparing them to pursue challenging and diverse careers in areas including government, journalism, law, consulting, publishing and business, or to pursue graduate study at the doctoral level.

Because of the program's flexibility and summer course options, students are often able to complete their degree in two years or fewer, or to take as few as one course per semester if their schedule is more limited.
