SRU programs in mathematics, history and English nationally ranked by OnlineMastersDegrees.org
Slippery Rock University’s online master’s degree programs in mathematics were ranked second in the nation by OnlineMastersDegrees.org.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Three Slippery Rock University programs were recognized by OnlineMastersDegrees.org, a website providing a variety of resources for people exploring accredited online master's degree programs. SRU appeared on the website's 2023 rankings for Best Online Master's Degrees in Mathematics, History and English.
SRU's mathematics program ranked second in the nation, while the history and English programs were 23rd and 31st on their respective lists. The rankings are based on the latest self-reported data provided to the U.S. Department of Education, as well as scores that the site's evaluators assigned in the key areas of affordability, the numbers of online programs and students, and student support services.
SRU's online master's degree programs in mathematics include a Master of Education in elementary education: K-8 math and science offered completely online and a Master of Education in secondary education: math/science with STEM program that is blended between online and in-person coursework.
The online master's programs for English include an Master of Arts in English, a Master of Education in secondary education: English, and a Master of Arts in teaching English to speakers of other languages. SRU also offers two online master's history programs: a Master of Arts in history and a Master of Education in secondary education: history.
