SRU’s sport management program ranked one of the country’s best

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - Slippery Rock University's bachelor's degree in sport management has been ranked as one of the 25 best value programs in the country by Value Colleges.
Value Colleges is an online guide to affordable higher education that offers researched answers accompanied by numerical rankings of institutions and their degree programs and features "only reputable, accredited institutions that have proved their value by providing affordable options without sacrificing quality," according to its website.
The rankings were compiled by Value Colleges staff members in conjunction with reports from U.S. News & World Report, College Scorecard and the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System.
Schools were ranked based on reputation, return on investment and cost.
SRU's sport management degree, accredited by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation, was ranked No. 12. As one of the oldest sport management programs in the country, the program holds a commitment to providing students at the undergraduate level with practical and transformative education with a focus on the business end of sports. Students are prepared to be leaders in the industry through opportunities in experiential learning and intellectual growth that emphasize ethics, social awareness and civic responsibilities.
