Administrators from Slippery Rock University and Erie County Community College met Jan. 9 at SRU's Russell Wright Alumni House to sign a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions. The agreement streamlines the process for transferring credits to SRU from EC3, a two-year institution in Erie that opened in 2021. The agreement covers everything from credit transferability and financial aid to reciprocal engagement opportunities that will better serve students intending to complete their associate degree at EC3 and finishing their four-degree at SRU. Representing SRU at the signing ceremony were President William Behre; Michael Zieg, provost; Amanda Yale, chief enrollment management officer; Robert Lagnese, director of transfer admissions and orientation; and Emily Price, associate director, transfer articulation. Representing EC3 were Guy Goodman, vice president of academic and student services, and Elise Michaux, marketing and communication director. Michaux is also an SRU trustee and alumna.
