IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING INCOMING FRESHMAN AND TRANSFER FINANCIAL AID LETTERS

The 2024-25 FAFSA was available much later this year because of FAFSA changes, and the federal government will be delayed in sending the information from the FAFSA to Slippery Rock University and other schools.  Slippery Rock is hoping to receive the information by mid-March.

When Slippery Rock University receives the FAFSA from the government, it will take some additional time to create a financial aid offer, once this occurs, we will begin sending financial aid letters to incoming freshmen and transfers.

The deposit commit date for the freshman of 2024 has been moved to May 15th due to the delayed FAFSA.

NOTE:  Returning undergraduates and all graduate students will not receive a financial aid letter until early summer after spring grades are received and academic progress can be measured.
