Message from the Dean

Welcome to the College of Health Professions. Although we are a newly formed college, our programs have a rich history at Slippery Rock University of providing an exciting, dynamic environment where students and faculty are engaged in classroom and practice-based activities, research, and service. I encourage you to explore the website to learn more about our faculty, staff, students, and programs in the following disciplines: Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies, Psychology, Public Health, Recreational Therapy, and Social Work. We are also the home of the Storm Harbor Equestrian Center that provides weekly Equine Assisted Activities (EAA) for people of all ages with cognitive, physical, emotional, and social disabilities.

Our programs will take you beyond the classroom where our students practice in a variety of healthcare and human services settings located throughout the local and regional community. We are committed to preparing globally ready, culturally responsible, and community-engaged leaders and professionals who focus on creating an inclusive and healthy society.
