Best Buddies

Best Buddies® is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). On campus, it consists of not only Special Education majors but also Therapeutic Recreation, APA, and any other that may have an interest. Through Best Buddies, you will volunteer your time with advocating during Spread the Word to End the Word Day, create a one- on- one friendship with a community member with special needs, dance the night away at the Butler Arc with the multiple dances through the year, and hold and participate in the yearly Friendship Walk.
