China International Partnership (QUIE)

Slippery Rock University (SRU) and Quanzhou University of Information Engineering (QUIE) have a partnership to offer SRU’s B.S. in Information Systems to QUIE students. The partnership was initiated in 2018, and the first cohort of QUIE students began taking SRU classes in Fall 2020. The partnership is hosted at SRU’s Information Systems and Technology Management (ISTM) Department in the School of Business.

Quanzhou University of Information Engineering (QUIE) is a full-time applied undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China. The university is located in the City of Quanzhou, in the Fujian province, which is on the southeastern coast.

Cooperation Objectives.

Through four years of study, the students will use both English and Chinese mastering a strong foundation in information systems and programming practice that is necessary to solve real-world problems. Students will be familiar with software  and systems design, intelligent systems, computer and software systems and network design. In addition, students will be able to apply the principles of information systems, mathematics, and scientific investigation to solve real-world problems appropriate to the discipline.
