Crime Lab

The crime lab is a dedicated space for CRIM students to apply their knowledge in criminal investigations, police response to crime scenes, and to role-playing scenarios for criminal justice exercises.

Located in Patterson 017, the lab consists of a lecture/briefing area as well as several adaptable interior crime scenes with furniture, personal items and various cadaver dummies. The scenes can be moved around and adapted to different tasks.

The lab has additional work lights for crime scene documentation, photography, measurements, video, and evidence search/seizure collection exercises. The lab permits students to conduct exercises in everything from initial response/walk-through to extended activities in evidence collection.
