John Silvestro, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of languages, literatures, cultures, and writing, wrote a chapter that was published in a collection titled “TextGenEd,” which includes contributions from professors in a variety of fields outlining engaging ways to teach with and about artificial intelligence. Silvestro’s chapter addressed how AI text generators can be used to help students gain a deeper understanding of their own personal writing styles.

TextGenEd is open-source, free and available entirely online. The book can be found on the WAC Clearinghouse’s website.
