Thomas appointed to state academic content committee

Becky Thomas, a Slippery Rock University assistant professor of parks, conservation and recreational therapy, was selected to serve on the Pennsylvania Academic Science and Technology, Environment and Ecology Standards Content Committee.

The committee, appointed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and comprised of educators and environmental professionals across the state, sets curriculum standards for Pennsylvania K-12 schools. As part of Thomas' role, she will advocate for natural history and environmental education.
