The Alpha Zeta Alpha chapter of Phi Beta Sigma hosted its second annual "Black Lives Matter" candlelight vigil Sept. 8 in the Quad to honor those who have lost their lives to acts of violence. "The night was about bringing the campus together as one to acknowledge each other as equals," said DeVante Goudy, secretary of Alpha Zeta Alpha. The event featured song, a poetry reading and a short address from SRU President Cheryl Norton. Photos by Benton Palermo, junior communication major from Beaver.
