Slippery Rock University’s online programs in English, history, health informatics, criminal justice, RN to BSN, math education and special education made Intelligent.com’s rakings of the 2021 Best Online Degree Programs.

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — Eight academic programs at Slippery Rock University were listed among Intelligent.com's 2021 Best Online Degree Programs, a ranking of the top online degree programs in the United States.

SRU's Master of Arts in English program was ranked No. 1 on the list of Best Online Master's in English Language Learning Degree Programs. Among the list of 52 programs, SRU's was also cited with unique distinction for "Best Writing Focus."

SRU's Master of Arts in History program was ranked No. 3 on the list of the Best Online Master's in History Degree Programs. On this list of 27 programs, SRU was identified as a "Good Value."

Other SRU online programs making the rankings were the master's in health informatics (No. 13), with "Best State University" distinction; master's in criminal justice (No. 17), "Best State University;" history (No. 22), "Best for Small Class Sizes;" master's in math education (No. 26), "Best in the Northeast;" registered nurse to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (No. 27), "Long Running Program;" and master's in special education (No. 29), "Low Tuition."

Intelligent.com's research was based on an assessment of 1,280 accredited colleges and universities in the nation. Each program was evaluated based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation and post-graduate employment. The methodology used an algorithm which collected and analyzed multiple rankings into one score to compare each school.
