The Badlands Working Group of Slippery Rock University presents "Art and Geology: Landscape Impressions" from March 23-31 in SRU's Martha Gault Art Gallery. The exhibit will display ceramics, sculptures, paintings and photographs made by geology and art students who conducted research in Badlands National Park, South Dakota. The Badlands Working Group is an interdisciplinary research collaborative led by Patrick Burkhart, SRU professor of geography, geology and the environment, and Katherine Mickle, associate professor of art. Students in both fields learn from each other by working together in the Badlands. The Martha Gault Art Gallery is open noon-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
