Of the 1,461 SRU freshmen enrolled for fall 2020, 91% have returned for the spring 2021 semester, a percentage comparable to last year when 92% of spring semester freshmen were retained from the fall 2019 semester.

"It is not surprising to see enrollment for spring 2021 slightly down as compared to last spring, given the current environment with the pandemic," said Amanda Yale, SRU chief enrollment management officer. "We are encouraged by the percentage of first-year students we retained from the fall semester, and by our continued record number of graduate students enrolled at SRU. Students are persevering during challenging times and we're grateful to serve students in their pursuit of higher education and setting them up to succeed."

Out-of-state enrollment rose slightly, by 23 students to 789, as nearly a tenth of the student population is from outside of Pennsylvania.
