Wellness Education

Wellness Education designs, implements, and facilitates an inclusive, evidence-based outreach program addressing health-related issues for college-aged students to develop as a whole person and establish an identity that incorporates emotional and physical wellness. These programs may include but are not limited to general health and wellness issues; alcohol and other drug (AOD) use; bystander intervention; safer sex practices; sexual violence; mental health promotion; resiliency, self-care and others.

Wellness Education is done through programs such as the Wellness Peer Educators, Protection Connection, the Student Health Advisory Panel (SHAP), and 1:1 education with the Health Educator.

Current SRU students can get connected to Wellness Education events and programs by visiting us on CORE: Wellness Peer Educators and SHAP and following our accounts on Instagram @sruwellnesspeers and @sru.shap.
