The US Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the demand for data analysts to grow by 35% between 2022 and 2032. According to Forbes, “Data is central to business success,” and “Organizations will redefine what it means to build a culture of analytics.” The demand for data analysts is real, and the talent gap for data expertise is increasing even faster, leading to an urgent need for data professionals. Slippery Rock University’s Master of Science in Data Analytics (MSDA) prepares professionals to work in the rapidly-growing field of data analytics and complex data.
DESCRIPTION:
SRU's Master of Science in Data Analytics is 33 credits. The program can be completed in 10 months full-time or 2 years part-time. One particularly distinguishing feature of the program is its validation by alignment with standards established by professional certificate programs.
Students who complete the program will receive a Statistical Analysis System (SAS) Academic Specialization in Data Analytics from SRU and the SAS (Statistical Analysis System) Institute Inc. SAS is one of the most widely used software platforms in the world for performing data analytics and statistical analysis. This specialization will give graduates of the program a significant advantage in the marketplace.
