Slippery Rock University President Cheryl Norton and her husband Henry are spending the day assisting movers with packing their possessions for a move to Colorado. Norton, the 16th president of SRU and the first woman to serve in that capacity, is retiring from the University effective July 21. Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education’s board of governors named Philip Way, SRU provost and vice president for academic and student affairs, to serve as interim president until a new president is on board.
